Diamond’s Very Bad Day – Loki, the New Family Member
So, we decided after Dixon passed that once we got through June (get Scarborough and two Conventions over), we’d get another dog – as Jimmy’s allergic to cats. We decided to start the search this weekend. The first trip didn’t go so well, but a friend at church pointed me to Petfinder.com. This is after […]
Cosmetic Changes
Someone called me “blond” at Soonercon (not the first time – might be the last time). I’ve been thinking of trying to fade out my gray hair for a while. My hairdresser convinced it me it was okay – but couldn’t find the time – and told me what to get from Sally’s Beauty supply. […]
Technology is Giving Me a Migraine
Well, I figured out iBooks on my own. You had to download something from iBooks first to create a library icon to drag the stuff from Stanza. Did that. Now I get to apologize to everyone I’ve told my chapbook is in .ePub format. The file extension clearly says .pdb – which reads on Stanza, […]
iBooks Help
If anyone out there has iBooks, can you tell me – concisely – how the heck you get ePub books into iTunes in order to them to sync to iBooks? I have not found a simple answer to how you get books into iBooks.
Tech Help – EReader Assistance – Stanza Borked
So, once more, I turn to you guys for help. I mentioned it in passing, I’m asking now. I’ve been using Stanza as an eReader for things NOT from B&N (and right now I have an aversion to Amazon/Kindle). It’s been GREAT. For my experiments in eBooks, ePub files, and eReaders, I’ve been quite happy […]
Now THAT’S What I Call A Weekend
No offense to my Scarborough friends, but finally a weekend!!! (And they had two months of rehearsals on top of the eight weeks of run.) My fangirl’s heart is full to overflowing tonight after this weekend. And both my body and spirit are renewed by long nights of sleep punctuated with a prodigious Saturday afternoon […]
For my Plano, TX friends
And forgive the activity today… it’s Friday…
Glory, Hallelujah…Progress
As I’ve mentioned (a lot) the last couple of months have been stupid busy and exhausting. I have gotten some writing done but not a lot. And most of that has been piddling with old plot bunnies to see if there’s life in any of them – what there was was no life in me […]
The End Is Nigh…And New Beginnings
Tomorrow is the final day for Scarborough Renaissance Festival. It’s a bittersweet time, since it’s like Summer Camp for me. We don’t do the “circuit” so we don’t travel with these folks. We’re vendors so we don’t spend two months rehearsing with the performers. I love that a lot are on Facebook and Twitter so […]
For All the Stewart Copeland Fans Out There
I saw this — sleep befuddled — this morning on the CBS 11 Morning Show in Dallas – a Through the Lens Sneak Preview of Stewart Copeland’s composition with/for the DSO. See some of you in February??? And seriously, that man ages REALLY WELL.
