Good news… my three-day temp job moves into it’s 3rd week on Monday. Yay. Fingers crossed for longer, more permanent situation there. Great company. Fun people. 1/2 the commute of the former Day Job.
Bad news – Even More Technology Fail. Let me say once more for the record – GETTING A MAC IS NOT AN OPTION OR A SOLUTION – unless you’re willing to pay for it and gift it to me AND deal with the week or two aftermath of when it fails spectacularly. Moving on…
The iTunes problem was an iTunes problem. Apparently they keep all their libraries for perpetuity. I had XP, VISTA, and 7 libraries. Once I dumped THOSE and reloaded my music (which was a pain) it’s been rock steady. Speaking of which, I need to download a couple of songs… UKE BOX HEROES. I have a couple of song credits, and I dig a couple of their covers. Besides Miracle Laurie ROCKS – and she’s a “real girl” in Hollywood. Good for her. She’s stunning and talented – support her.
The NEW problem showed up who knows when during all of this. I’ve been lax in my backing up because of the drama (bad me). Went to plug in my flash drive, and the installation failed. Then the installation failed for EVERY SINGLE FLASH DRIVE we have. It’s not the USB ports themselves, they work. The ports into the computer are fine – they just won’t recognize flash/thumb drives. Of course, the rote answer on Microsoft didn’t work. Looking for another solution. If anyone knows a solution to why USB ports won’t recognize flash drives, PLEASE let me know. I need my computer to recognize them and quickly.
