Pillsbury Crescent Roll Weirdness
In the last couple of months we’ve developed a problem with Pillsbury crescent rolls in our refrigerator — they pop their cans/tubes and become ruined.
At first we thought it was because I dumped them in a crisper drawer or the meat keeper drawer. So I put our last batch just on the middle shelf in the fridge.
A moment ago, I got out the milk for the last of my coffee, and lo… the crescent rolls had just broken their can. I swear it wasn’t like that when I pulled out the cinnamon rolls. The expiration date isn’t until 09/01/08, either. We hoped it had just happened, but the dough had already dried and expanded enough to make getting them apart impossible.
Has anyone else had this problem? Google just has 8 million recipes. I’ve emailed Pillsbury. But I thought I’d hit the LJ mind.
If it’s a humidity/temperature control issue with the fridge, I’d like to know so we can get the landlord to look at it.
