ConDFW Preliminary Schedule
I call this “preliminary” because they haven’t posted Readings or Autographings yet, so it’s not quite complete.
Friday:
Panel Room 2 – Manchester
9pm – The Yard Dog Press Traveling Road Show
Panelists: Selina Rosen (M), Julia S. Mandala, Christopher Donahue, Linda Donahue, Rhonda Eudaly, Dusty Rainbolt,
Melanie Fletcher, Beverly Hale, William Ledbetter, Lee Martindale, Tracy Morris, Gloria Oliver, K. Hutson Price, Bradley
Sinor, Sue Sinor, Frank Summers, Brad Foster, Mel White, and others!
Come be amused and amazed by the talented authors and artists of Yard Dog Press lead by Ringmaster Selina Rosen. This
panel is always great fun, though it is a little dangerous to put all of them together in one room.
Saturday:
Panel Room 3 – Canterbury
12pm – Writing Excuses: Timing is Everything
Panelists: Teresa Patterson (M), Brandon Sanderson, Lillian Stewart Carl, Rhonda Eudaly, Thomas W. Knowles
Our experts talk about timing, and specifically how to MAKE time to write. When to write, how to write most effectively, and scheduling. All these things are important and will keep aspiring writers from their livelihood if they aren’t careful.
Panel Room 2 – Manchester
5pm – Religion in Science Fiction and Fantasy
Panelists: Tim Powers (M), Taylor Anderson, Angeline Hawkes, Rhonda Eudaly, Shanna Swendson
One of the hot topics in the history of man is religion. It can be a force for building, or a force for destroying. It is easy to cloak a story in religion, but can one afford to offend potential readers? Our esteemed panelists seek to explore the role of religion in a story, and how it has affected stories in the past. Note: This IS a hot button topic for many, so please keep things civil.
Sunday:
Panel Room 2 – Manchester
3pm – Panels for Dummies: How to Speak in Layman’s Terms
Panelists: Dusty Rainbolt (M), Rhonda Eudaly, David Gray, Stephen Patrick
With all the books in the “Dummies†series, we figured it was about time we had our own version. Author of one of the Dummy books, Dusty Rainbolt and other panelists will attempt to explain to us exactly how to convey ANYTHING in terms that are moderately understandable. We hope. Warning: Results may vary. Considerably.
