[Spotlight Post] Pi Day, Veronica Mars, Marc Gunn
Okay, so it’s Friday. It’s Math Pun Friday – it’s March 14th… or, as we would write it here in the US, 3.14… or Pi Day. It’s a day in which anyone who enjoys math, puns, and/or any reason to eat pie is a happy, happy camper. I have on my Pumpkin Pi shirt from Woot! I’ve convinced several of my co-workers to go with me to get pizza for lunch. There’ s key lime pie in the fridge for dessert tonight. It’s also a blogging day.
Oh, and this weekend, GO SEE THE VERONICA MARS MOVIE!!!! Jimmy and I are. We participated in the kickstarter that got it made. We want it to be hugely successful. GO. The show was awesome, and the trailers have been fantastic. I can’t wait to see the finished product.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been wondering if I’m going to try to come up with something different to do on Fridays. I love highlighting my friends and colleagues in spotlights, but after a while, it’s difficult. And I’m facing a deadline and Scarborough Season starts soon (though it doesn’t look like it’s going to be that intense this year). So I’m wondering if I can shift a focus here.
I want to continue to spotlight artists and authors. In fact, I might start doing some music reviews for Marc Gunn’s Celtic Music Magazine. It’s one of those things that pays in music, but hey, it’ll give me something to cross post. Maybe I can start introducing some of you to music instead of the other way around.
If you have any ideas of what else you might like to see on the blog, chime in. I’m open for suggestions. But for now, I need to work the novel deadline. It looms and looms large.
