So, it’s Friday. It’s a spotlight day. Today, I’m featuring someone you may or may not know – Amanda S. Green. If you don’t know her yet, you should. Hopefully after all this is done, you’ll check her out some more. She’s pretty darned amazing.

Amanda S. Green is the writer of the Nocturnal Lives series from Naked Reader Press. The series is urban fantasy mixed with police procedural set in the DFW area. It has crime, drama. It has…shapeshifters. Otherworldly creatures in a forensics day and age – what could possibly go wrong there? Right? But wait…there’s more…

On top of having a family and being a writer – she’s also the executive editor at Naked Reader Press (she assures me the company came with the name). The company says it to keep nothing between the reader and the story…and that’s way cool. Amanda’s cohorts at NRP (Naked Reader Press) produce DRM free titles and if things go well, in print on demand. Amanda helms this up and coming micro press that will probably be a model that many small and micro publishers take – ebook first then print run. And works with the lovely and talented, Sarah A. Hoyt – who’s also busier than a sane person has a right to be.

But wait! There’s STILL more… Amanda blogs for Mad Genius Club at least once (if not more) times a week. AND, she spearheads events with the Friends of Bedford (TX) Library. She put on the local author day Bill Ledbetter and I participated in back in February/March. It was a well-run event – and hopefully there will be another one now that the library patrons are clued into the awesomeness that is local authors. If Amanda asks you to participate in something, do it. You won’t be disappointed.
