[Writer Post] The 4th of July Edition
It’s the 4th of July in the US. We celebrate our independence from England with fireworks, cookouts, and avoiding heat for the most part. But this year it’s also Wednesday, and I normally do a writer post on Wednesday. So, this will be short, sweet and to the point so I can get back to a day off of fireworks, cooking out, avoiding the heat, and the oh, so glamorous investigation of why my toilet is leaking.
This was today’s Mallard Fillmore. I love it and have to share, because as I am rewriting my novel from college, I swear I could make this work…
I appreciate the fact I have the freedom to write what I want in whatever genre. That I’m free to “stink” (though I do strive to NOT do that). And that our system allows us to take something that might seem to stink and turn it into something HUGE.
So, Happy 4th of July to those in the US. Happy Wednesday to everyone else. Be safe. Be happy. And go write something that stinks that can be turned into a trilogy
