[Random Life Post] E-Pub Question and Anniversary Week
I have a question for readers. If you buy both e-books and print – how would you feel if you bought and e-book (like a collection of short stories) that was significantly longer than a print version? Would you consider the ebook a “value add” situation or “bonus tracks” kind of thing, or would you feel cheated in the print version? This is a serious question/issue. I would appreciate any and all feedback.
And it’s Anniversary Week in our household – or next week will be.
July 4th is Loki’s Adoption Day Anniversary. There were a couple of times during the year we didn’t think he’d make it through the year. And though his illness was never fully diagnosed, the last round of meds have done the trick thus far. He’s a little over 18 months old, loves annoying Diamond (his aging “sister”), and is now playful and cute as a button. Loki continues to be a complete snuggly Mama’s Boy of a dog – but has Daddy Playtime with Jimmy. His favorite game (besides TUG ‘O’ WAR with anyone – including the tree out back) is “I’m Not TOUCHING YOU!” Diamond doesn’t NOT enjoy this game.
July 7th marks 4 Years that Jimmy and I have been married. I go back and forth between “Wow, we’ve made it this far” and “Has it REALLY been THAT long ago?” It’s like we’ve been together forever and everything being “just yesterday”. We’re doing a couple of things to mark the occasion – on the day itself we’re having Non-Biological Extended Family (The Francis Family) over for dinner with my folks. They haven’t been in the US for 2 years! Then Friday the 8th we’re going out for Groupon Sushi at one of our favorite places and Theater Arlington for their version of The Hobbit.
Happy Anniversary to us!
