[Writing Post] Thanksgiving is Eating My Brain
Not literally this year… though I suppose there is an argument that I’m ham-handed, if not ham-headed. Oh, for those just joining this blog – we have ham for Thanksgiving. That way the lame joke makes some kind of sense. Maybe.
This will be our first Thanksgiving with Loki – our ~13 month old Red Heeler. I have a feeling this Red and Rover cartoon will be appropriate.
Though, my mother-in-law’s mashed potatoes do not have this decidedly Mythbusters flavor to them.
I am very thankful this year for a lot of things. A steady income all year (shh, don’t jinx it). Several awesome projects that have come out – A Bubba In Time Saves None, Redheads of the Apocalypse: Apocalypse NOW!, and my independent project – When the Party’s Over (see download page). All of which have done awesomely for me. And there’s still plenty of time to shop of the holidays!!!
Even with the hustle and bustle of the Holidays (which I can’t believe are already here), I’m still getting in word counts. The new ROTA draft is coming along. I’m also thinking of some new parts to existing projects. And reveling in the idea that we’re actually living in the years written about by the classic SF authors.
I know this is a light post – but that’s what happens this time of the year. We’re actually getting things done – either Holiday stuff or finishing up NaNoMo. It’s time to put that time management into use – and so I will. Have a good holiday in the US and if you’re outside the US, I’m just as thankful for you even if it’s another Thursday for you.
