Tech Help – EReader Assistance – Stanza Borked
So, once more, I turn to you guys for help. I mentioned it in passing, I’m asking now.
I’ve been using Stanza as an eReader for things NOT from B&N (and right now I have an aversion to Amazon/Kindle). It’s been GREAT. For my experiments in eBooks, ePub files, and eReaders, I’ve been quite happy with Stanza – until lately. The last upload I did the desktop had an error about not connecting to Bonjour. I have the latest iTunes with the latest Bonjour.
After the earlier iTunes fiascos, I’m NOT uninstalling and reinstalling ONE of those components. At least not again.
That error still isn’t fixed in Stanza’s world. BUT they had a new iPhone version – so I downloaded that, and fortunately, before I ever used it, I got it off. Why? Because apparently Stanza 3.0 CRASHES iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. And crashes it GOOD. And there’s documentation of this on both the App Store and Stanza forums.
I can’t afford that. There doesn’t seem to be any indication of any kind of fix.
So? Anyone know how to fix this, or which eReader reads ePub on iPhone and can load from your computer – I haven’t figured out if you can upload to the B&N online library your own books.
