Apologies to Microsoft and Apple
For being cranky at Microsoft and Apple for my current iTunes woes… I apologize. I was wrong.
The particular issue I had where iTunes froze upon opening wasn’t your fault. It was NOKIA‘s fault. I recently went back to the Nokia N75 that I won in a raffle when my Motorola RAZR stopped charging.
Decided to install Nokia’s software to do stuff with the phone. Downloaded NOKIA OVI, their new software package.
That’s when iTunes went catatonic on me. Just decided to uninstall all things Nokia and, wow! OH LOOKIE, iTunes is working properly again.
NOTE: If you’re running Windows 7 32-bit Home Edition with iTunes 9 and try to install Nokia Ovi – BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN. There was also some weird, random .dll deletions that I had to re-download because Nokia Ovi randomly deleted them.
The Nokia N75 has not been my favorite phone anyway, though I seem to have stopped taking random pictures while I’m talking on it now, but it’s all I have until we can upgrade BOTH my plan to include data AND get me an iPhone.
