Ren Faires and Computer Mojo
And the lack thereof of the mojo.
We had a great time out at Texas Renaissance Festival. Renee joined us on Saturday to celebrate her new job. Our awesome artist friend, Gary Williamson, who does amazing paper sculptures helped us get in on Saturday. It was PIRATE WEEKEND, one of my FAVORITE WEEKENDS EVAR! His good deed did not go “unpunished”. We ended up attending at the good graces of His Majesty, The King. Saturday we went in “garb”, since that’s how our friends who know us from Scarborough know us. Sunday we went “mundane”. But it was nice, FOR ONCE, to be Patrons. And actually SEE stuff.
The weather was awesome. I have a new writer toy/tool that I’ll post pictures of soon. We got home about an hour or so before the torrential storms arrived and freaked out the dog. Because of the storm, getting back into the swing of things, and all the mighty, mighty walking we did this weekend, I chose to blow of working out. We do need to do housework this week, too, it’s all getting made up.
Now I’m fighting with computers that want to take DAYS to back up to LAN wire connected network drives. Email programs that won’t back up because it looks for some crazy, unrelated file that’s being used by other processes. AND we’re about to upgrade to Windows 7. So yeah, back to the real world. The real RAINY world.
Now I have some time to get some writing done, while my file backup to my thumbdrive finishes up – taking about 20 minutes. Go figure.
