My Cat is a Timex Cat…
She takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’. Dixon, the Elder Cat, does not have Thyroid problems. Go figure.
She does have the worst case of osteo-arthritis our vet has ever seen in a cat – ancient or otherwise; hypertension; glaucoma; and reduced kidney function in one kidney. There are a couple more tests we’ll find out about tomorrow. So far, treatments are very doable medications (though eye drops may be a challenge 😎 – she had to be sedated to draw blood.)
At that point, the relief will be great… OR the other shoe will drop. Right now, some relief that the worst-case scenarios aren’t happening. We just have an old, crotchety cat who’s 96 years oldish in human years.
Thanks for all the good thoughts today.

Now I’ve got Seanan McGuire’s song “Evil Laugh” running through my head — filker’s disease strikes again:
My cat is a Timex cat
Ha, ha, ha, ha — LIVE!
Glad I could get songs stuck in OTHER PEOPLE’s head. Enjoy your plot bunny. 😎
