When Articles Write Themselves
I both love and hate when a blog article “writes itself”. I just posted this week’s StrangeWords article. It was a no brainer to write up a quick article on the passing of Locus Magazine co-founder, publisher, and editor – Charles N. Brown – even though I’d never met the man. He was still very important to the industry and it’s fitting. Mostly because I see how important he was to people I care about in the industry as a person and as a professional.
On a lighter note – and a crazier note – I don’t take much stock in reviews (except from First Readers – which I can always use – and editors/publishers), but Julia Mandala sent me this link to some Four Redheads of the Apocalypse reviews. I giggled when it said:
I found this to be an over-the-top comedy with the quirky flavor of a Mel Brooks film.
That’s always fun. Now, I have other work to get to today, and hope I’m back to scrambling for a StrangeWords topic next week.
