Back to It
I still haven’t done my ApolloCon report. It was a good convention – a productive convention. Had some interesting conversations with people that’s taking a bit more time than anticipated to get going again. That’s what happens when you have a Holiday Weekend just when you’re getting your life back in order from a convention.
One of the things I’m diddling with is seeing how many words I have in sold stories that most of you have never seen, much less read. Or were online and yet, it would be nice to see them in print. I have almost a chapbook’s worth. I’m about one story shy of getting it done – which will be a new story or two.
My first choice is always to find a “real” publisher before doing this on my own. I am going to query a couple of publishers first that I just found on Ralan, see if I can make something happen. This should be easier than AEGRI SOMINIA – which has been difficult for me to sell, because it’s not what I’ve been known for. This collection is more of the funny stuff that I’m better known for… These stories just need a good home – and don’t need 7 MORE years to find them – which is what a couple of them took to sell the FIRST time…
But I’m also debating some plans for doing it on my own, if necessary.
And now it’s time to start considering the day job.
