For the Cold War and EBook Fans Out There – Allan Cole
For those of you who are aficionados of Cold War history and/or just dig EBooks, have I got a book for you. My friend and awesome author, Allan Cole has released a non-fiction ebook, LUCKY IN CYPRUS: A True Story About A Boy, A Teacher, An Earthquake, Some Terrorists And The CIA….
You can read the blurb at the link, but he also offers a sample chapter so you can “try before you buy”. As for me, I’d read the book on Allan’s name alone because I know the awesome storyteller he is and the quality of his work.
For those of you who may be interested in his fiction, he’s also working on getting all his and Chris Bunch’s material that’s been out of print back in print. Right now at least two of the Far Kingdoms books are available Wildside/Dorchester Books Classics In SF & Fantasy banner. He has links on his website.
Seriously guys, if you haven’t read Allan Cole (with or without a co-writer), please do. He infuses action, humor, danger, and emotion into his stories. They’re very visual, too, since he “eatin’ job” was writing for all the Stephen Cannell shows I loved in the 80s. Allan was, inadvertently, a huge influence on me because of that alone.
Check him out. Let me know what you think.
