Thanks so much for your help at Armadillocon. I decided to check out your website/blog, and noticed the following:

Great title for a new story, but still a typo on your “Online Sample of My Writing”:

    “uniformed” instead of “uninformed”—

your new story should be “The Good, the Bad and the Uniformed”

a light-hearted look at the perils of dating in the line of “Beware of Sailors” and other stories..

I did like the essay about coffee though.

    Hi Rhonda,
I hate to do this but we have an RFP that was supposed to go out this morning that everyone is still working on. It is all hands on deck downstairs so we are going to have to reschedule your interview with Sally and Heather for next week if that is okay with you. I do apologize for the last minute notice. There was not a phone number on your resume or website so I do hope that you receive this before you head this way. I will put together some options for next week and send them your way shortly.

    Thanks!

    Dear Rhonda,
with reference to your comments about the rotring rapid pro mechanical pencil, still wondering how to feed the 0.5mm pencil with a new lead. Will it automaticly drop from the lead magazine into the tube, or do I have to take one off and put it into the tip?
Your help will be highly appreciated!
Thanks in advance and best regards, Peter

  • reudaly says:

You put the lead into the Rotring Pro by taking the cap off the eraser, removing the eraser, placing lead in the tube body of the pencil, and clicking until it advances. Hope this helps.

It’s good see another author getting their stuff out there. Maybe we’ll get to chat at the show on April Fool’s Day.

    Greetings Rhonda,

I don’t think that we have worked together but I am a Yard Dog Artist. I noticed your page on the late and much missed artist Darrel K Sweet. The last time I saw him he was showing a beautiful piece of a flying white dragon. I have never seen a reproduction of this work and am wondering if it is stil available for viewing in any form. My computer searches have been fruitless and I hope that it has not been lost so that other artists can study the master work. Any information on the work including the title could be helpful and much appreciated.

    Thank you,
    MOS,

I wish I could help you, but I can’t. I only really met the man a few times. I don’t know where to find his art other than the typical places you probably already looked. I do know that some of his art will be showing at WorldCon 2013 in
San Antonio in September. His son, I believe is coming, you could talk to him.

Hey, I was cruising stuff about last years SoonerCon and saw your post. I made the crochet R2D2 hat you are wearing. It was a gift from my friend Rick Young. We are both council members of Jedi OKC. He was really happy to find you and give you the hat. He had me make it right after the 2011 Soonercon. I am glad that you enjoyed it.

  • reudaly says:

I’m so glad you found the site! Yes, I love the hat. It’s a big hit at the comic book shows I’m starting to do now – and warm. And now I know who to credit when people ask me where I got it!

Waco Cultural Arts Fest is 28 September. The panel will be 11 – noon. There will be a $50 stipend for the authors. Not much, but it pays for gas.

I have been pushing them for details … they sent me the following info just this afternoon “… the science fiction/fantasy panel that will be from 11 am to noon on Sat. Sept. 28 on the patio of the Waco Convention Center (between the WCC and Indian Spring Park). There needs to be 4 published authors on the panel plus the moderator.”

So I am moderator, looking for four authors with at least one published book. Please let me know if you would be interested.

I just got in from Dallas Comic Con, and I’m exhausted. Let me think about it for a little bit. That’s the weekend before FenCon, but since it’s not that far, it’s not the distance. But I need to make a decision when I can see straight.

Right now it’s a solid maybe.

  • reudaly says:

I’m sorry it’s taken so long for me to get back to you. I think I’m going to have to say no…this time. It’s not that I don’t want to, I really do, but the timing is bad this year. It’s the weekend before FenCon and as a Division Head, that’s one of my busiest times.

If you need other suggestions – there’s always any of the other Four Redheads – Julia Mandala, Linda Donahue, or Dusty Rainbolt. You might also consider Rosemary Clement Moore or I could probably come up with some other genre authors.

The BIC fine point you are looking for is available in Canada. I would contact Staples.ca or one of the office supply stores there. I buy them all the time. They are made in Mexico actually.

I would like to buy some Kikkerland pencils and/or pens. Do you know where I could get some? And how much? I’m from Edmonton, Alberta. Would I get them from you? Thank you so much!

  • reudaly says:

I tend to find mine at stores like World Market or Container Store or other gadgety stores. I am not a distrubutor of any kind. I’m a consumer. They’re also available from online retailers like Amazon.

Hi. I am the Mom of the Riddler girl you saw at the North Texas Comic Book show yesterday. I can not thank you enough for the pen and pad that you gave her! She had so much fun interviewing and collecting autographs for the rest of the day. She was so proud tonshow her Daddy too. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Hello,
